Events

Back to School Clean Up - Scheduled before the start of school.  Families and staff gather together to clean up the school grounds. In addition to getting the school gardens ready for the new year, students can reconnect with friends and avoid back-to-school jitters.

Bingo Night - Free family event - spend the evening playing bingo.  Win prizes.  Free popcorn. 

Eagle Run - Annual jog-a-thon involving the whole school.  Held outside, weather permitting, in the gym if not. All students get a new t-shirt that morning, to wear while running their 15 minute session.

Dine Around - A monthly opportunity to take a break from cooking and raise money for the PTO.  Eat at a chosen local eatery and some of your bill will be donated to the PTO.

Glow Party - Free family event.  Black lights are hung in the gym.  Wear your favorite neon clothes and dance the night away.  Face painting and a coloring area are available in the cafeteria when you want a break from the excitement.

OMSI Night - Free family event.  Mount Scott and a fellow elementary school have and evenng at OMSI to ourselves.  Bring the whole family.  The only cost is for parking.

Community Sale - Free entrance to the event.  Space rental fee for sellers.  An opportunity for buyers and sellers alike.  Sellers only pay to rent a space and keep all profits from sales. Buyers can find vendors, crafters, baked goods, and used items all under one roof.  Food trucks will be on site for refreshments.  

Big Splash - Free family event.  Bring the whole family for an evening of fun at the Clackamas Aquatic Center.  Wristband tickets are free.  Student families fill out a form the week before, to order wristbands for each family member planning to come.

Read Across America Week - Celebrating the joys of reading PTO has organized: a book swap, free book giveaway, library card sign-up and a book fair at Barnes and Noble

Teacher Appreciation Week  - A week to say thank you to our educators.  Teachers are provided with surprises and tasty treats all week. Families have opportunities to participate.

Carnival - Ticketed event.  Buy in advance or at the door. Tickets include entrance access to standard games and a hotdog meal. set up in the gymnasium and on the blacktop.  Food is available for purchase.  Add on tickets available for pie eating contest, and cakewalk.

Field Day - End of school celebration.  Outdoor games for all students.  Families are invited to attend.  Cookout lunch available.
